Biography
Progressive metal band Southern Cross formed in 2001 by Jean-Francois Boudreault and David Lizotte. Though a number of lineup changes followed, Olivier Perrier and Antoine Guertin joined the band. Southern Cross released their first album Rise Above in 2006. This first album received mixed reviews and the band decided to concentrate more on their progressive roots for their future.
Southern Cross' second studio album Down Below was released on June 2009. This album indicated this more progressive approach for the band. It was praised by the critics as the band established itself in the prog-metal fanbase all around the world. The album release has been followed by many gigs for the band in Canada.
From Tragedy was recorded during the year 2011 and will be released in the beginning of 2012. The band will then be ready to go back on stage to make sure the world discovers this new dark and epic progressive-metal album.
